The garden is a compact food forest with multi-layered, edible plants providing wholesome, nutrient-rich food to a community. The design transforms the space into a thriving ecosystem through a plant selection that boosts biodiversity and provides food sources. Every layer of the plot is used, from a small food-producing tree to edible ground covers and underground crops. A climbing plant structure adds an extra interest to the garden. An insect hotel, shaped like the charity's logo, draws in wildlife, and tree stumps offer seating areas. A single, winding path winds through the plot, making it accessibly, while ensuring every available space is used to optimise the area's food source potential.
